Haya Albadawna
A senior undergraduate Biomedical Engineering student at Khalifa University. She currently serves as the Secretary of the IEEE EMBS Student Chapter and is an active Events Team Member of the Khalifa University Student Council. Committed to continuous learning and growth, she has earned multiple certifications in healthcare innovation and personal development. She is a co-author of the study “The Effect of Tibetan Singing Bowls on Stress Reduction: A Heart Rate Variability Study”, which will be presented at the 2025 47th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. Her involvement in research, student leadership, and professional development reflects her dedication to advancing the field of biomedical engineering through collaboration, service, and innovation.

Wadeema Almenhali
A senior Biomedical Engineering student at Khalifa University and a founding member and current Media Chair of the IEEE EMBS Chapter. Passionate about continuous growth, she has maintained a place on the President’s List for two years and gained global experience through an entrepreneurship program in Munich, Germany, as well as a semester as an exchange student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the United States. She is actively involved in research and serves as a mentor to both freshmen and international exchange students, reflecting her commitment to leadership, community support, and academic excellence.

Sarah A. Alkhatib
A PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering specializing in electrochemical biosensors based on advanced 2D materials for biomedical and environmental applications. She has contributed to several projects at the interface of biocatalysis, biosensing, and sustainability. She is a member of the BBC Lab and its task force manager and is a YFEL graduate. Sarah has previously served as President of the AIChE Student Chapter at UAEU and is an active member of AIChE and EMBS. Her leadership and academic excellence have been recognized through several honors, including the International Student Chapter Leadership Development Travel Grant and Best Research Award – ICASF.

Hoor Nadhari
A senior Biomedical Engineering student at Khalifa University, consistently recognized on the President’s List. She serves as Vice President of the Sustainability Club and Event Planner of the IEEE EMBS Chapter. Hoor has represented KU in multiple debate competitions, including COP28’s Universities Debating Championships, where her team secured second place. She is also a peer tutor and has led workshops for both university and high school students on academic and personal development. Currently interning at McGill University in a molecular genetics lab, Hoor is committed to advancing Biomedical Engineering through leadership, research, and community engagement.

Moath Al Qaderi
A junior undergraduate biomedical engineering student. Moath has been recognized on Khalifa University's President’s List for 2024 and 2025. He is also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. As a dedicated mentor, he was awarded the Golden Medal for Best Peer Tutor, having taught over 10 courses to first- and second-year students. Beyond academics, he serves as the outreach officer for the IEEE EMBS Chapter. Moath is passionate about innovation, actively competing in and winning hackathons, as well as collaborating and learning from professionals in the field.

Rowdha Alhashmi
A senior undergraduate biomedical engineering student at Khalifa University. She has been consistently recognized on the President’s List since 2022 and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. Rowdha was awarded the Gold Medal for Peer Mentoring Excellence and is an alumna of the Future Sustainability Leaders (FSL) program. Some of her project work includes developing the Care4MyHeart digital health platform and designing an injectable vitreous humor substitute. She actively leads student initiatives and research that bridge engineering, medicine, and entrepreneurship.

Doua Kosaji
A PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in the development of intelligent wearable systems and sensor-enabled rehabilitation technologies. Her work combines optical fiber sensing and 3D printing to design practical, user-friendly systems for diverse applications, including pediatric therapy, prosthesis monitoring, and early detection of health-related complications. With a commitment to translational impact and interdisciplinary collaboration, she has contributed to several projects at the interface of engineering and clinical care. She has co-authored peer-reviewed publications in the fields of rehabilitation science, prosthetics, and biomedical sensing. Her efforts in diabetic foot monitoring and rehabilitation were recognized with the XPANSE Best Scientific Pitch Award.

Rateb Katmah
A PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering with research interests in human movement analysis, brain–machine interfaces, and the application of AI and advanced signal processing techniques. His work focuses on understanding the relationship between brain activity and motor function using EEG and gait analysis, with the goal of enhancing rehabilitation strategies and neurological assessments. He has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of neuroscience, robotics, and wearable technologies.
