Dr. Dimitrios Dimitriou is currently the Vice President of ESG & Sustainability at Emirates Steel Arkan, having previously served as the Group CEO Advisor. He has over 20 years of cross-sectoral experience in clean energy business development, C-suite advisory, consulting, and asset management in the hydrogen and derivatives industry, as well as in steel and fertilizers. His expertise includes leading new business development, sustainability strategies, and commercial growth for company and project propositions.

Recent managerial roles include his time at ADNOC HQ, where he led the merger and asset management of the Fertiglobe joint venture, as well as hydrogen business development roles. In these positions, he originated and led multiple strategic partnership projects with international and domestic players on behalf of ADNOC in the hydrogen space.

Dr. Dimitrios is currently the ESG Board Committee Secretary for Emirates Steel Arkan and has previously been a member of the Integration Sub-Committee of the Fertiglobe joint venture. Before his tenure in the UAE, he held advisory and engineering roles at NexantECA and Johnson Matthey in the UK.

Dr. Dimitrios holds a PhD from Imperial College and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.
