Gowns

Please note that for the Khalifa University 2024 Graduation Ceremony it is the responsibility of the student to acquire the graduation gowns

Gowns must be obtained from a specific supplier which is “Abu Haleeqa” and will be tailored in accordance to a specific design

Men’s bisht (to wear with national dress): AED 340
Men’s gown (to wear with western dress) AED 390
Women’s gown (to wear with national dress) AED 390
  • All graduates are requested to confirm their participation, Deadline to confirm your participation: 01 May 2024.
  • It is the responsibility of the students to acquire their graduation gowns.
  • Gowns must be obtained from a specific vendor which is “Abu Haleeqa” and will be tailored in accordance to a specific design.
  • Deadline to acquire the graduation gowns 10 May 2024.
  • Measurements can be taken at any Abu Haleeqa branches, orders can be collected from the same shop.
  • Each graduate can invite up to 3 family members.
  • You can collect your invitation cards at the following location: Khalifa University Main Campus, R Building, 3rd Floor, Room R03035
  • Collection dates: 22 -28 May (excluding Friday & Saturday)
  • Collection Time: Monday to Thursday: (09:00 - 15:00) - Friday: (08:00 - 12:00)
  • Kids below 10 years are not allowed to attend.

Emirati male

White kandoora, white ghutra

Men’s gown (black bisht - specific design)

Emirati female

Black sheila, black abaya and subtle makeup

Women’s gown (black abaya - specific design)

Black cap

Non-Emirati male

Black suit, white shirt and black tie

Men’s gown (specific design)

Black cap

Expat graduates must not wear Emirati dress

Non-Emirati female

Plain black hijab (if applicable), plain dark top, dark ankle-length dress or pants, and subtle makeup

  • Emirati males to wear white ghutra and agal
  • Cap is black for all females and non-Emirati males, but in different sizes
  • Tassel is the same but it may include the graduating year; however it is not a must
Honor Cords
  • Excellent with Highest Honors - Gold
  • Excellent with High Honors - Silver
  • Excellent with Honors - Red
